Rosewood Mayakoba was our first choice because it is truly the definition of paradise.  It is one of our favorite places to work because the property is romantic, secluded and stunningly beautiful from every angle.

Nestled along the white sandy beaches of beautiful Mexico, and only a short flight from anywhere in the States, lies the ancient and beautiful ruins of Tulum.

We loved the idea of the juxtaposition of the ancient ruins, crumbling and raw, surrounded by jungle, being the backdrop of our ceremony, and the five star, ever so luxurious Rosewood Mayakoba hosting our reception.

About Rosewood Mayakoba

Nestled along the white sandy beaches of beautiful Mexico, and only a short flight from anywhere in the States, lies the ancient and beautiful ruins of Tulum.  Surrounded by this ancient city, one steps back in time to an ancient civilization, a time so different from ours, but with one striking similarity… Love. Ruins aren’t the only alluring quality of Riviera Maya.  With warm weather year round, turquoise oceans, beautiful resorts, it’s no wonder couples are choosing to marry in this Caribbean destination.

From Crosby + Jon: On the reception venue:  Rosewood Mayakoba was our first choice because it is truly the definition of paradise.  It is one of our favorite places to work because the property is romantic, secluded and stunningly beautiful from every angle.  But more importantly, the wedding team at Rosewood is beyond exceptional.  They treat guests with such care and attention, everyone feels like a VIP.

On the design: Our designs for the day were inspired by the ethereal quality of the Tulum ruins.  We wanted this inspirational photoshoot to be timeless and classic, reflecting qualities of an ancient time.  We loved the idea of the juxtaposition of the ancient ruins, crumbling and raw, surrounded by jungle, being the backdrop of our ceremony, and the five star, ever so luxurious Rosewood Mayakoba hosting our reception.  Chris & Kristen Photography captured our vision perfectly, and Krista Jon created florals that mimicked the elements of elegance and de-composition that we are so drawn to.
