About Laguna Beach | Sourced Collective
Spring signifies new beginnings, so there’ s no better time to shower a Bride-To-Be. Thanks to an amazingly talented team, this springtime bridal shower was blooming with creativity. Friends and family of Kara, the bride, enlisted Kara’ s wedding planners, Crosby + Jon, to design a top-secret party in her honor. But as a trend forecaster for Free People, Kara could have predicted that Crosby + Jon would design her a party as stylish as the bride and her guests. First stop in planning was to snap up the perfect location, Sourced, in Laguna Beach. “It’ s the bungalow of my dreams. If I cannot live there I must at least plan parties there!” says Krista of Crosby + Jon. Next, the design duo assembled a color palette of vibrant pink, tropical green, citrus yellow and juicy orange, all set against a modern brightwhite. Archive Rentals provided the perfect bold mix of modern and rustic style, with white mid-century modern tables and chairs and fresh green and yellow glassware. Regina of Crosby + Jon said “The original weathered floors of the venue were the perfect backdrop for Archive’ s modern white tables.” A vintage sofa and marble-topped bar were added to keep the look current and inviting.
Now for the blooms! Yoshi of Floral Fete truly stole the show with her unique mix of wild springtime and fun tropical floral arrangements. How can you go wrong with mini pink pineapples?! Yoshi’ s creation of a living poppy wall stopped guests in their track and set a perfect springtime vibe.
Not only did guests get to take in the beauty but they also got to be hands- on with an outdoor craft station, where each guest got to make her own floral choker. (Trend forecast alert!) Spirits were high as guests mingled and drank fruity sangria from Speak Wines, which paired perfectly with impeccable catering from Babette’ s of Corona Del Mar. The group enjoyed savory pita sandwiches, hot-out-of-the-oven cookies, fresh pressed juices and seasonal salads. In keeping with the event’ s uncommon line up of activities, the brunch finished with a tarot card reader. Girls made their way up to a little boho lounge loft, where Paper Lee Made gave insight into the cards they chose. In harmony with this event’ s fresh young style, of-the-moment photographers Stewart Uy & Connie Chang captured the day in a sunlit, dreamy way. All of Kara’ s gals were in awe as they walked into the cheerful space, and the bride herself shed tears of joy. According to Bride, the surprise was a success, “I have been so engaged in planning my wedding, that it feels wonderful to just arrive at this beautiful shower that I didn’ t even have to think about.”

Pristine white sands, a colorful pastel palette and mixed woven textures were the perfect combination for our “Malibu meets Morocco” corporate brunch.
Our latest challenge was to create a rustic Texas shindig for the Toyota Corporation at the Pelican Hill Resort + Spa. The resort’s expansive courtyards were an ideal spot to create an open-air ranch style space.
We have had the pleasure of designing several corporate retreats for Toyota at the luxurious Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach.
