Upon entering The Ranch, guests enjoyed a romantic cocktail hour under cafe lights, where we placed leather club seating and reclaimed wood bars.

Although separated by the distance between New York and Boston, Jennifer + Matt managed to cross paths several times after being introduced by mutual friends at a beach bar in Montauk. Two summers later, the couple became engaged and we began planning their destination wedding in Laguna Beach, California.

The bride + groom wanted to keep the party going all night, so we placed the dessert and cocktail bars adjacent to the live band, allowing a flow from dining to dessert to dancing.

About Laguna Beach

Although separated by the distance between New York and Boston, Jennifer + Matt managed to cross paths several times after being introduced by mutual friends at a beach bar in Montauk. Two summers later, the couple became engaged and we began planning their destination wedding in Laguna Beach, California!

Jennifer + Matt said their “I do’s” at St. Catherine’s of Siena Church.  With the “I- dos” complete, and sealed with a kiss, we arranged for family and friends to be greeted by the beach trolleys of Laguna, transporting them from ocean to canyon, to The Ranch in Laguna for the reception.  The secluded canyon setting made this venue the perfect choice for the couple!

Upon entering The Ranch, guests enjoyed a romantic cocktail hour under cafe lights, where we placed leather club seating and reclaimed wood bars.  Nostalgic wedding photos of both the bride and groom’s parents and grandparents were the highlight of the décor!  Loved ones cheered as the bride and groom made their grand entrance as newly weds, and the party made their way down to the fairway below to dine together.

We designed a dinner setting that was both intimate + breathtaking… one long table for all two hundred guests made a dramatic statement between two towering rows of pine trees.  Their scented branches created a natural canopy, where café string lighting dripped from overhead.

Guests sat in French bistro style dining chairs, where we graced each woman’s chairs with silky pashmina scarves.  We created modern table settings of polished silver flatware and chargers glistened against cut crystal glassware and clean white plates.  Lastly, we suffused the tabletop with white pillar candles and lush greenery, creating one never-ending centerpiece for pure romance.

We lined the dance floors with tufted slate and French ivory sofas to create intimate lounge spaces.  Each lounge complimented the design of the dining tables, overflowing with candlelight, romantic soft blooms and touches of nostalgia with past wedding invitations of the couple’s relatives.  The bride + groom wanted to keep the party going all night, so we placed the dessert and cocktail bars adjacent to the live band, allowing a flow from dining to dessert to dancing.

Guests enjoyed the perfect Southern California night, dancing under a blanket of stars, and when the evening came to an end, we surprised guests with a burger truck for a late night bite before hitting the road.  In the words of the bride, “thewedding was so authentically ‘us,’ we wouldn’t change a thing about it!”
