We’ve had the pleasure of designing for Toyota’s corporate events for several years now at one of our favorite 5 star resorts in Orange County, Pelican Hill.  Inspired after all the time we’ve been designing in Riviera Maya this past year, especially with the launch of Archive Mexico, we took our designs on a Mexican Fiesta journey with a retro Orange County twist!

The old soda shack, along-side 60’s style patio furniture, and an antique coleman cooler for a side table, created the classic surf town feel.  A vibrant blue sectional and vintage California poster were a must to add in the perfect dose of Mid-Century Modern that Orange County is known for.

For the table top design, we mixed vintage enamelware with various colored cut crystal, to bring out the color pops of the Santiago style table runners.  Centerpieces consisted of layered gold and pinto beans, filled with succulents, cactus, kiwis, mango and bright florals… everything but the kitchen sink!  Inspired after old-world Mexico, we tied in a few iron ornate lanterns to complete the look.

The weather was a beautiful 75 and sunny, the tacos served fresh, and the margaritas nice and cold… all in all, a perfect fiesta!
